about

Sadly Gary passed away following the completion of this record. In his memory all the proceeds from the sale of this download will go to Macmillan Support.

"Starting this project was tricky. I wanted it to be the best I could manage under difficult times and circumstances but none of us could have ever anticipated the turns that would be take place. These tracks are for everyone, especially anybody adversely affected with their health.

Time to Go was written for David Olney but oddly prescient it turns out. Hard Life is an old Nanci Griffith song which always lingered with me and is still pertinent all these years on. King of the City started as a Briar Band track of which we’re all really proud. It’s heartfelt. Above all the Path of Most Resistance is the most recent and was written especially for this EP. As you will hear, it’s about not giving in and definitely ploughing your own furrow in life; never give up, regardless. Day by day, life moves on, it can be brutal and short at times but it’s always glorious – live it to the full and be kind to yourself and others."
